Johnny Sly are a seven-piece Manchester band that we recently came across. The track above called Butterfly is taken from their third EP for when no words are right (available via Bandcamp). Reminiscent in some ways of Cocos Lovers but clearly making their own mark, heaps of talent on-board, fusing psych-folk, jazz and more. One to watch for.
Over the weekend just gone they launched their new EP ‘Words With The Weatherman‘. If you fancy the chance of seeing them perform live then try and catch them at The Castle Hotel in Manchester next Saturday 4th June in support of post rock instrumentalists The Binary Giant (ticket link).
