Alejandro Rose-Garcia is one of the most talented Austin songwriters and musicians although he’s better known to most by his stage name of Shakey Graves. If you’ve yet to see him then now’s your chance as he’s confirmed a string of UK shows this month which are sure to attract a great audience. The 28-year-old has been building a hell of a following in North America with sold out shows as well as appearances on Conan, Late Show With David Letterman and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Last year saw the UK release of ‘And The War Came’ through Dualtone Records which we reviewed here.
“This is a doorframe album, as we’re going into a new building,” he says. “It’s taste of everything—what might come in future, which might include just guitar or the one-man band thing, but not pigeonholed to any one sound. I wanted to open some stuff up and get people ready for wherever it’s going.”
