Bob Dylan has shared a waltzing downtempo ‘Melancholy Blues‘ from his forthcoming 37th album ‘Fallen Angels’, a song which suggests some resemblance to his Sinatra inspired last album Shadows In The Night. There may well be a film noir revisit along the way as we had for The Night We Called It A Day, a link that’s strengthened by the album title which may well be taken from the 1945 film noir starring Alice Faye, Dana Andrews and Linda Darnell which tells of a con man who arrives in a small town looking to make some money. There’s also been the suggestion that the songs on the new album are from the same recording session.
We’ll know soon enough as Fallen Angels is out on May 20.
