We filmed the ‘Will You Wait?’ video round the back of Denmark Street. It was freezing! It was my first ever video on my own without The Magic Numbers. I wanted to work with a photographer called Gavin Hammond, whose photographs and films I find inspiring. I created a storyboard for the video. I wanted it to convey an idea of time passing, of growing older and living through those significant moments of our lives, maybe involving a first love, a childhood sweetheart, becoming a parent. The video is about watching life go past you; and at the end, it conveys a sense of rebirth, of wanting to see everything through a child’s eyes, creating a new beginning.
