Last night Mark Radcliffe announced the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Nominees on the Radio 2 Folk Show which we’ve listed below, a large number of which we’ve reviewed and have also been Featured Albums of the Month on Folk Radio UK. The awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 27 April at which there will also be the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards, the recipients of which are still to be announced. Also, this year’s inductee into the Radio 2 Folk Awards Hall of Fame will be the legendary Sandy Denny.
