We continue with our series of guest posts from The Shee who over the coming weeks will introduce us to their nominated collaborators for their tenth anniversary Continuum project. This week, using a slightly different approach, Lillias Kinsman-Blake talks about her choice – Brian Finnegan – through her own comic artwork.
Lillias Kinsman-Blake talks about Brian Finnegan
My name is Lillias. I play the flute in The Shee.
I have chosen Brian Finnegan to compose music for the band. I am really excited to hear and play his composition.
A piece of his that I have been listening to a lot recently is “If Only a Little” from his latest album “The Ravishing Genius of Bones”.
I’ve had so many memorable experiences with the Band. One that comes to mind was performing at Knockengorroch festival in Scotland. Olivia was stuck on the A9 and we had to go on stage without her. She arrived just in time to join us for the last set of tines as the sun was setting over the crowd.
