Our Song of the Day comes from Apple of my Eye whose last album ‘Seven Tides’ was one of our Featured Albums of the Month (read the review here). Arran from the band contacted us recently to share a new video recorded in the studio for their new song ‘Young One‘, a ballad from their forthcoming third album.
Arran explained that “It was written on the hottest day of the year and recorded around two microphones (band members lean in and out for dynamics)” adding that “it features the cello playing of Jo Silverston who has recently joined the band”. In addition to now having a wonderful full string section to play with, they had Joe Leach on production duties and Arran also let slip that the working title of the new record is ‘The Beast Below‘ which will be out next year.
