Following our recent live review of the Sweet Liberties Launch at the Palace of Westminster on 16th November we have the pleasure in sharing with you some of the live footage from the night featuring songs from Sam Carter, Nancy Kerr, Martyn Joseph, Maz O’Connor. They are joined by Nick Cooke and Patsy Reid to make up the Sweet Liberties band.
Sweet Liberties was commissioned by the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS), Folk By The Oak and partly funded by the PRS for Music Foundation as part of Parliament in the Making’s anniversary programme. The artists were all tasked with writing new songs in response to milestones in the fight for and acquisition of key civil rights.
