Birmingham Tradfest is back in two weeks time celebrating the very best in Irish traditional music. The festival plugs a gap in Birmingham where the Irish music scene thrived in the 80’s but then faded away, this year’s festival promises to be bigger, brighter and better than their last and they have a fantastic lineup in store including Damien O’Kane (our Artist of the Month for November), Mary Bergin, Michael McGoldrick, Dezi Donnelly, Jim Murray & John Joe Kelly, Máirtín O’Connor Trio feat. Cathal Haydan & Seamie O’Dowd and more. There are also workshops, album launches and not forgetting the essential Irish music sessions, of which there will be plenty!
There are a mix of standing and seated concerts to meet the demands of the festival audience – for those that like to dance away and those that prefer to sit back and let it wash over them. With the staggeringly brilliant lineup this year both the music, the beer and the crac promises to be all good!
