English Folk Expo kicks off later this month (15-17th October 2015) to a sold out event showcasing some of the best music on offer from the English folk music scene. The event takes place alongside Homegrown, The Met’s annual festival of the finest English folk music.
Those attending will be travelling to Bury from across England, as well as from France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Morocco, Ireland, Canada, Wales, Estonia, Australia and more. With 37 English folk, roots and acoustic artists showcasing across three days, including 3 artists from their international partner Folk Spot Denmark, a packed programme awaits, including Seth Lakeman, Sam Lee, Sam Carter, Bella Hardy, Kings Of The South Seas, The Unthanks, Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band, False Lights, Oysters3 and many more. There will also be a number of special performances for English Folk Expo delegates* including Stick in the Wheel and a Rootbeat Records showcase with The Rheingans Sisters, Ollie King and Lady Maisery.
