Following a recent trip to Nashville Scottish singer songwriter Dean Owens was reunited on stage with award winning guitarist and long time collaborator Will Kimbrough. This autumn sees him hit the road with gigs north and south of the border, including London’s Folk & Roots Festival and Edinburgh’s Christmas (headlining the special St Andrew’s Day event).
To coincide with the live dates, he is releasing a new single – Up On The Hill – on 30 Oct, alongside a spectacular new video with dogs, a drone and a glorious Edinburgh sunrise. The video (funded by a Kickstarter campaign) was filmed by Edinburgh’s Waltzer Films, on one of the hills which inspired the song.
Up on the Hill is released as a digital single (on Drumfire Records) on Fri 30 Oct.
Earlier this year Dean recorded an exclusive session for Folk Radio UK which you can listen to here.
