We have the pleasure in premiering the new video from Findlay Brown for ‘All Is Love’, our Song of the Day. The video was directed by award winning Danish documentary filmmaker Boris Benjamin Bertram.
He shared the following on the inspiration for the song: “After coming back from an Indigenous amazonian ceremony I wrote this song about the experience. “All is Love” was the message I received. And I don’t think I could have been given a more powerful message. The visionary insights that these ceremonies offer people have great potential for changing the world. I like the ambiguity of writing love songs that aren’t necessarily about the love between two people.”
The video itself celebrates the art of dance, love and survival in Chelyabinsk, Western Siberia – a former atomic city and birthplace of the first Soviet nuclear bomb. Today the city is one of the most radioactively polluted places on earth. Curiously, it is also home to one of Russia’s most vibrant dance scenes.
The video was created using un-used footage from the documentary ‘Tankograd’ – winner of the Camden International Film Festival (2010) and the Best Feature Length Documentary at Moscow Art Doc Fest (2010).
Findlay Brown’s New Album “Slow Light” is out now in the US and available in the UK Sep. 25th.
