Five-piece Minneapolis MN band Magic Castles released their third album Starflower last month on Anton Newcombe’s (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) label ‘a’ Recordings. The launch was followed by a European tour, a mark of the band reaching new heights with their music which has been described as droney psychedelic pop, combining the organ drenched hazy atmospherics of mid/late 60s with sun-drenched west coast folk-rock. They hit our UK shores on 20 September performing in Bristol, Brighton, London, Glasgow, Hull and a final date at the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia (25-26 Sept).
