Ipecac Recordings are to release a series of previously unreleased demos from Mark Lanegan. At the point of these recordings, his band, The Screaming Trees, had not long disbanded and he had released five solo albums, the latest being Field Songs (2001). His next solo release would not be until 2004 with the commercially successful Bubblegum which featured a number of well known guest artists including P. J. Harvey.
All the songs featured in the this release were written and then shelved, until now that is. Listen to ‘No Cross’, the opening track below:
