Our Song of the Day is from American gospel and soul singer Leon Bridges performing ‘River’ from his debut studio album Coming Home which has been picking up top reviews across the press. This performance is a Take Away Show recorded by French music blog La Blogotheque, a site which re-invented the music video recording sessions (most famously by Vincent Moon) and led the way for the many session websites now in existence. In my opinion they are still the best at what they do, they capture the intimacy of the moment, normally in one take. This was filmed in Paris behind Notre-Dame.
