Our tune of the day is ‘Turning Point‘, a rich and colourful guitar piece from Kyle Fosburgh’s forthcoming album ‘One Night‘ which is due for release on 22 July 2015 via his own label Grass-Tops Recording. This is the sort of music that just lightens your day.
Inside each and every human being there is an abundant reservoir of divine individuality, and potential personal expression. We are all created equal, and we are all created with different directions and different purposes. There is no greater gift you can give to the world than simply being yourself. This power cannot be exaggerated, nor it’s possibilities, exhausted. Don’t let an inclination towards mediocrity or palatability inhibit your personal potential as a creator on this planet.
– Kyle Fosburgh
Grass-Tops Recording is a unique label that I’ve been fond of for some time now. They have a great ethos, not just in how they go about seeking new music and releasing it in a range of formats (this one will features on CD, double LP, and Reel-to-Reel editions later this year) but also in how they care about the artists and their music. They strongly believe that the artist should maintain the rights to their own music, not the record companies. There are far too many stories of album masters gathering dust in the vaults of record labels who can’t be bothered to re-issue them and artists who don’t have the rights to re-issue them themselves. There’s been a lot of great music denied to music lovers over the years and it continues to happen today unfortunately so it’s great to see labels like this built on pure musical passion.
