Day Five: Elan Rhys
Done! A full set-worth of songs written and arranged in two (and a bit) days! I feel there’s a mixture of relief and apprehension amongst us.
Glad that we succeeded in the creative process but daunted by the performances to come. We had an invaluable chance to try-out the whole set tonight to a small audience of patient friends. On the whole it was a success but it did clarify the parts of the set that needed a little more attention. But I can’t quite believe that a handful of the songs we performed tonight were written only this afternoon!
The thought of leaving Tŷ Newydd tomorrow saddens me. Our time here has been incredibly productive and intense but also so therapeutic. This is such a wonderful environment to be creative and it’s like we couldn’t help but write and make music together.
