As many of you know already we chose False Lights debut album ‘Salvor‘ as one of our Featured Albums of the Month. The band is fronted by Jim Moray and Sam Carter, names that should need no introduction to those that follow the British Folk Scene. In his review Simon described it as “a vibrant re-boot of folk rock, which if anything outstrips the immediate excitement and expectations generated by this potent pairing.”
We have an exclusive video feature today in which Sam and Jim talk about the formation of False Lights, the other musicians in the band, and how they could have been called “Sam and Jim’s Special Relationship”. We are personally very excited about this album, as Simon said in his review “…given the pedigree of those involved it shouldn’t really come as any sort of surprise that Salvor is a superb CD. There’s no deception going on here, this is the real deal and in its own unique way a masterpiece.”
