Our Song of the Day is a track premiere from Swedish songwriter Jenny Lysander. Northern Folk is the title track of her highly anticipated debut album which was produced and arranged by Piers Faccini and recorded over two sessions in the summer months of 2014. There is an effortless grace to Jenny’s voice and delivery, the perfect match to both her poetic lyrics and her music which has a timeless quality with a strong hint of that Nordic magic in there for good measure. It’s more than fitting that such beautiful music should be recorded deep in the woods, far from the noise and interference of any city in Faccini’s rural studio.
Jenny Lysander is both a confident and unique voice and her debut album will hopefully giver her the spotlight she so richly deserves, we are all the richer for her music.
