Seasick Steve has unveiled his new video and single ‘Summertime Boy’ from his new album ‘Sonic Soul Surfer’. Steve on slide guitar along with Dan Magnusson on drums and Ben Miller on jaw harp make a great raw combo as he hits the surf singing “I need the sunlight!” We know how you feel! Watch it below:
In typical style Steve says of the video, “I’m lookin’ good, the ocean lookin’ good, the girl lookin’ real good, we all good!”
Next April sees him return for the first time in 4 years for a full UK tour armed with a batch of fantastic new songs. Dates are selling out fast so be quick.
The album was produced and written by Seasick Steve and recorded in his front room at the little farm where he lives, ‘Sonic Soul Surfer is his seventh studio record and most ambitious work yet. Along with longtime drummer Dan Magnusson, the album also features Luther Dickinson of Mississippi All Stars playing slide guitar on two tracks, Georgina Leach on fiddle and Ben Miller playing jaw harp on ‘Summertime Boy’.
