We have a great premiere track today from Belgian band Geppetto And The Whales. ‘Heads’ featured on the their recent double A-side single (1814 / Heads), we asked Kobe about the track he wrote:
“This song was written for all the headbanging hippies who like their harmonies served on a bed of banjo, slide guitar solos and a killer bass riff. Definitely one of the more groovy tracks on the album.”
It’s also a reprise on an older song called Hannah (EP). The lyrics of that song goes like this: “Hannah’s been gone, too long” and in Heads the return is been told “Hannah came home to me, gloating in her bright red checkered dress”.
Geppetto And The Whales will venture onto UK shores for dates across most cities including Hoxton Bar & Grill in London on December 17th. Debut single ‘1814’ is out now.
