We have a pair of tickets to giveaway for The End Festival, a wonderful multi-venue event which runs from 20-23 Nov 2014 in London’s N8. We have a pair of tickets for the Sunday which will please any folkie – it allows you entry to all the performances on the day including those highlighted below and more.
Laura Smyth & Ted Kemp:
A wonderful duo who perform traditional songs from England and beyond. Their EP The Charcoal Black and The Bonny Grey is well worth getting your hands on, it explores 5 songs with a connection to Lancashire.
Pip Mountjoy
The 20 year old Pip Mountjoy who describes herself simply as a writer & singer of songs has picked up some great fans along the way including Ryan Adams whose compliment is worth repeating here: “I love your music. Just keep writing and singing, not many people have that gift, but you have it… great style/that voice!”

Bridie Jackson & The Arbour
Folk Radio UK regulars should need no introduction to Newcastle-upon-Tyne based Bridie Jackson & The Arbour who have performed two session for us already, one of which we’ve included below:

O’Hooley and Tidow
Likewise, these two talented ladies definitely need no introduction. As Simon said in his review of their latest release The Hum “There’s something about the way that O’Hooley & Tidow have developed as artists that has surely exceeded expectations”. They certainly do and they never disappoint, ask anyone who’s seen them live, so what better way to bring your Sunday at this festival to a close than watching these two.
Amongst the many more acts on the day they also have a screening of ‘Way of the Morris’…quids in!
