Since the launch of her debut album ‘Bookshelves’ in February 2014 Oxfordshire based Jess Hall has been building a solid reputation and growing fan base thanks to her unique and striking vocals which caught the attention of Jon Ouin of Stornoway. Jon went on to add arrangements to her debubt release which was also produced by another well known name – Duotones’ Barney Morse-Brown.
As well as receiving airplay across many BBC regional stations she has now achieved one of her ambitions of playing The Union Chapel. She also opened this years Green Man Rising Stage at the much loved Green Man Festival. Whilst at the festival they captured some of her moments thanks to Sam King and came up with this video diary which we’re pleased to be sharing with you on FRUK today:
Jess is currently on her Bookshelf tour which includes her first ever Bristol gig tonight at the lovely Cafe Kino playing alongside the Duotone (Barney Morse-Brown) and Bristol’s own Jackson Hill. The full dates are below. In the meantime we’ll leave you with wonderful Winter Branches:
