As part of our ongoing partnership with Bob Harris’ Under The Apple Tree sessions Folk Radio UK select an artist each month to perform a session.
For the latest session we chose Scott Matthews. He performed ‘The Outsider’ from his latest album Home which is currently one of featured Albums of the Month. As on the album track he uses the harmonica to great effect, as Simon said in his review ‘to emphasise the pull of the, “Lonely road,” the journey and the need to make it, even when it has to be done alone. The way the melody resolves in the chorus is simply sublime.’
