Songs: Ohia – Didn’t It Rain (Re-Issue including Unreleased Tracks)

Secretly Canadian are to re-issue of Songs: Ohia’s masterpiece Didn’t It Rain on 2nd Decemeber. According to the label the reissue will include Jason Molina’s (December 30, 1973 – March 16, 2013) home demos of the record, eight previously unreleased tracks, complete with a distant playground full of children chiming in the background for a few songs. The glorious juxtaposition of Molina’s songs’ desolation and the blissful playing of children is about as haunting as it gets.
