Peggy Sue have announced a new double A-side single ‘Substitute’ / ‘Say What You Mean’, which is out Nov 3rd. To coincide with this, they will play a special one-off London show on Nov 2nd at the Bussey Building which will also feature a live improvised set from Cosmo Sheldrake and more (details below).
The single will feature album track and live favourite ‘Substitute’ (listen below). In the words of the band, “This song makes me think of the period of time when Summer is changing into Autumn and the evenings are getting shorter and a little colder. It’s about proving to someone that although they may not mind, you don’t mind more.”
The day before the single is released, on Nov 2nd, the band headline a very special show at The Bussey Building in Peckham as part of the Illuminations festival. This show will see them perform The Choir of Echoes – featuring members of all-girl covers choir Deep Throat – allowing them to explore the melodies and harmonies of their third album like never before. The event will also see a live improvisation set from rising production wizard Cosmo Sheldrake and a full performance from Deep Throat. There will also be a reading by Monument Valley as well as two more Special Guests to be announced soon.
