On August 23rd at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia there is a very special concert taking place featuring artists that have all featured on FRUK: Daniel Bachman, Glenn Jones, Arborea, and Ryley Walker. What brings the four acts together is a shared love of the late Robbie Basho, an inspirational guitarist and human being.
Funds from the concert will go to support the feature documentary project Voice of the Eagle: The Enigma of Robbie Basho directed by Liam Barker, which is currently in production.
In addition to raising money through ticket sales, they are also shooting the concert and making a digital download of the concert film available to those who donate via IndieGoGo. It will be professionally shot in HD on 4 cameras and directed by Jesse Sheppard, whose credits include “The Things That We Used To Do” the 2010 performance DVD featuring Glenn Jones and Jack Rose (see below).
