Our Song of the Day is from Black country Ivor Novello winning singer songwriter Scott Mathews. Virginia is taken from his fourth album Home Part 1 due for release on October 6th through Thirty Tigers on San Remo Records.
Drawing upon his exceptional song writing and musical talents (he played acoustic and electric guitars, cello, piano, flute, flugelhorn and drums on the record) Scott has managed to produce eleven stunning tracks, including beautiful first single ‘Virginia’ which is our Song of the Day:
Home Part 1 was recorded at his very own custom made studio without the help of an engineer or producer, Scott’s goal was to write a set of songs that he would be able to reflect on in years to come, by making a more personal album than previous releases. Inspired by events in life, the album is dark but beautifully heartfelt.
