Our Song of the Day is from the Best Duo winners of this year’s BBC Folk Awards – Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin. I recently went to see them perform at a very intimate house gig (read the review) after which they were heading to Calstock Arts Centre to record a gig for a Live Album.
In their own words “We wanted to record a load of songs we’ve been doing for years, to document how they’ve evolved; as well as some entirely new arrangements; and some brand new songs too.”
Live in Calstock is released on 14 July 2014 but you can hear a track today: this is Greenboots/ don’t wanna know and it’s our Song of the Day:
