We will be at Priddy Folk Festival again this year which is a short distance away from our home base in Somerset. They’ve got a great line-up that listeners to Folk Radio UK will be very familiar with.
Kicking things off on the Friday are Bella Hardy, Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin, Steve Tilston Trio and Jez Hellard to name just a few.
On the Saturday they have the incredible Flook, Anna Massie & Mairearad Green, Brooks Williams, the wonderful Three Cane Whale and Maz O’connor. They’ve got some bands that are likely to break a few dance floors in the line-up as well including Gadarene and the John Langan Band.
Then on the Sunday they have Kan and The Young’uns to round off a great weekend. This is just a small selection of those playing as there are many others including local duo The Drystones as well as loads of activities from workshops to dances and a silent disco.
We’ve put together this little taster of some of the acts performing:
Priddy has a very special warm and welcoming atmosphere and is certainly amongst the friendliest festivals we attend each year. There is always plenty for the kids to do, an important part of any festival we go to as a family, and the children’s festival promises to work its magic on them again this year.
