Blair Dunlop performed at Australia’s Port Fairy Folk Festival earlier this year in March 2014. His performance was recorded by ABC RN and has been made available as a free download from their website.
His set opened to the traditional folk song Black is the Colour and included tracks from his debut album Blight and Blossom as well as his latest release House of Jacks. He also performed solo for the first time Sí Bheag, Sí Mhór, a tune composed by the famous Irish harpist Turlough O’Carolan (1670 – 1738). He rounded off the 45 minutes set with a song by one of England’s finest folk singers: Nic Jones – Canadee-I-O. Listen to the full set below:
