Our Song of the Day is from Jennie, Cath, Liz and Marie, better known as The Cornshed Sisters from Tyne and Wear. You’ll fall for their lovely four-part harmonies from first listen add this to their diverse influences that come through their music and their equally far-ranging song subjects then you have a winner.
Their debut album Tell Tales offered songs about gardening, waterbabies and making pies out of people! Our song of the day ‘The Beekeeper’ is about a soothsayer.
Live dates: 21st June 2014 – Jumpin Hot Jamboree, Newcastle
