In February this year Tinariwen released their new album EMMAAR via Anti- Records. The band headed for the Californian desert – Joshua Tree National Park, birthplace of stone rock to record the new album which featured collaborations with Saul Williams, Josh Klinghoffer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fats Kaplin, guitarist and producer Matt Sweeney, and sound engineer Vance Powell.
