Ex-Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford has surprised many with his latest release ‘Holy Ghost’ which is out this week. Whilst celebrated as one of the most in-demand rock guitarists this album coudn’t be further from that path if you tried. This is totally embraced Americana in which he teams up with Stew Jackson of the English country-soul band Phantom Limb. Recorded in Rockfield in Wales and the Shed in Bath Ford has laid down tracks which are milestones not only of his music but also his life.
Now living a more sedentary life in Californian surf town of San Clemente with his wife Kirsten who contributes vocals, and his son Elijah the album features some of the best songs he’s ever written…”It’s a reflection of my life,” he says. Check his video for Blue Sky below:
