The first artists for English Folk Expo 2014 have now been announced and the list is looking great with many artists that have featured on Folk Radio UK. Confirmed so far are Fisherman’s Friends, The Melrose Quartet, Faustus, Lucy Ward, The Young’uns, Lisa Knapp, Show Of Hands, The Old Dance School, Nizlopi, Leveret (featuring Sam Sweeney, Andy Cutting and Rob Harbron), Spiro, Philip Henry & Hannah Martin, Luke Daniels, Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, Bella Hardy, The Hut People, The Will Pound Band, Cocos Lovers, Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band for a very special Saturday afternoon show in The Drill Hall plus a Saturday morning family workshop from Megson.
English Folk Expo is an industry event providing the annual showcase for English folk, roots and acoustic music. EFEx ’14 takes place 16th-19th October 2014 and operates in association with Homegrown, a festival of English folk music, based in Bury, Lancashire in north-west England and is held in the showcase’s main venue, The Met, and satellite venues, all within a short walk of The Met.
