We have a very special Song of the Day and Video Premiere today from The FLK / Marry Waterson. The FLK continue to remain anonymous but there latest work with Marry Waterson is fantastic. They’re releasing a remix of Rosy (LTD 7″ vinyl and download) which featured on Marry Waterson & Oliver Knight’s album The Days that Shaped Me. As well as a new video we also have a personal message from The FLK below:
A message from The FLK:
The FLK wish to remain anonymous. The FLK are in disguise. Like mummers.
We’ve remixed Jackie Oates – we’ve remixed Emily Portman – now we’ve moved on to the Patti Smith of folk MARRY WATERSON.
She’s written and recorded some new songs with us, straight from the dark heart of her English folk soul. They’ll see the glorious light of day in the springtime of the year.
In the meantime, we are proud to present this slight detour down the road less travelled – a re-imagined, re-mixed version of ROSY.
It’s available as a limited, numbered edition of only 230 copies on a single sided 7″ vinyl with cover print, postcards and stickers.
The vinyl is only available direct from The FLK website shop.
The iTunes download will be available from March 3rd. Pre-Order here on iTunes
