Whilst not hot on the heels of Diaper Island (2011) Canadian singer-songwriter Chad VanGaalen makes a welcome return next month with the release of his new album Shrink Dust. The longevity between albums may be partly explained by another ongoing desire….to score a science fiction film, so he started making one back in 2011. The first episode of his animated feature, Translated Log of Inhabitants, should be released this year, with a fully illustrated D&D-esque compendium of 150 associated characters.
Check his new video for ‘Where Are You?’, one thing’s for sure his sound and creativity has never been hampered by his refusal to use a commercial studio.
