Our Song of the Day is from The Pussywarmers & Réka. ‘Something You Call Love’ is taken from their new album ‘I Saw Them Leaving‘ released on Wild Honey Records on March 3rd in UK.
Cosmically bound to their Hungarian ladyfriend Réka, spasmodically accompanied on their travels by unpredictable trumpeters, The Pussywarmers – originally from the Mediterranean district of Switzerland – have spread their credo all over the continent. Indeed, audiences of all ages have fallen under their spell – a charming and obscure concoction of melodies that stubbornly eludes all attempts at a definition but which is leaving ever more gig-goers indefinably warmhearted. In the Voodoo Rhythm Family since 2009, with two long playing records of original tunes up their sleeve this third release of yet sweeter and groovier numbers is due out in March 2014 on Wild Honey Records!
The Pussywarmers have touched down here, there and pretty much everywhere: weddings and funerals, clubs and pubs, theaters and museums, sailor parties and pirate regattas, busker festivals and ski resorts, stairways, public toilets, vessels and trailers… whether it be an intimate acoustic set or a full-blown show The Pussywarmers and Réka will be roaming around europe this Spring.
