Here’s a classic video of Joni Mitchell to start your week with, which was from a music TV series called Mon Pays, Mes Chansons. The series featured folk music performances and was produced in colour as a Canadian Centennial project.
The series was filmed in various scenic locations includin Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and also featured the likes of Gordon Lightfoot.
Joni Mitchell: Complete So Far
Joni has released a songbook called Joni Mitchell: Complete So Far which contains 167 songs drawn from her 18 landmark studio albums. The songs and lyrics are transcribed accurately and include Joni’s critical guitar tunings (over 40 are cataloged in the book). This collectible hard cover, 512 page book contains a beautiful photo section, a foreword about Joni’s ground breaking guitar style and an extensively cross-reverenced Tuning Index for those in search of a deeper understanding of her approach to guitar.
