Our Song of the Day is from Emily Rose Hall and I can’t tell you much more about her other than she’s based in Bolton and this is a new song. She’s also supporting the Literature Thieves on 23rd February at The Eagle Inn in Salford where they’ll be launching their new single King of Cups / Rain. But I think you’ll agree she’s a name to watch out for.
Here is ‘Nomad’:
Nomad
Put all my faith in the concrete and sand grains
i beg of you call me by my right name
My home ever changing is the road
we where never the one’s to go by what we where told
~
wanderlust keep us from home
teach us to find to journey to roam
we know in our hearts and we’ve dreamed in our minds
Teach us to flee to fight and see what we’ll find
~
On the hill the trees creek and moan
lord free my feet from the stone
I’ll be on my way to the mountain of salvation
don’t waist time on heed
this is no retaliation
mother don’t worry for me
for not all who wander are lost
but seek
a new page in an old story
~
wanderlust keep us from home
teach us to find to journey to roam
we know in our hearts and we’ve dreamed in our minds
Teach us to flee to fight and see what we’ll find
Now I see the world i see i once was blind
