For our Song of the Day I wanted something to shake the dust off so here’s the Tuareg blues-man Bombino who we came across in 2012. This is Azamane Tiliade which is from his album Nomad which was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
Dan Auerbach first learned about Omara “Bombino” Moctar after watching a short video clip of the Tuareg guitarist. By sheer coincidence, a friend then recommended he hear Bombino.He invited the Tuareg blues-man and his band to Easy Eye Sound in Nashville and the path from local Nigerian hero to world music star began.
