Salsa Celtica who made a storming entrance with their synthesis of Afro Latin Salsa with Scottish and Irish traditional music are back! They have announced that they are in the final stages of making their new album The Tall Islands which has a rootsier sound to their previous releases. Part of the reason for this appears to be their approach this time around. “To write and rehearse the new material we played a short tour of the Scottish islands, including gigs on Skye, Mull and Lewis. The time we spent together, on the road and water, the places we visited and people we met seems to have resulted in a “rootsier” more folkloric sounding album. It’s been a long wait but we think it’s been worth it and we can’t wait for you to hear it.”
The band are looking to fans to help them get the album through the final stages of release. They’ve teamed up with PledgeMusic through whom fans can Pledge for things like signed copies of the album, VIP passes for gigs, signed posters, hand-written lyric sheets and much more! “We are very proud to be finally travelling to perform in Colombia.
