Our Song of the Day is an acoustic demo that Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker revealed yesterday evening. The track called Silverline may make it to a new album based on Josienne’s comments “A new song for a new album…perhaps…..yes, yes it is.”
Ben Walker and Josienne Clarke are up for two nominations in this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Best Duo and Horizon Award. You can read our review and interview feature for their album Fire & Fortune here
They will be performing at Cecil Sharp House on 25th January as part of their recent English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) creative artist residency, the duo will showcase a selection of meticulously crafted new songs inspired by their research of works by the likes of Dowland, Byrd and Vaughan Williams.
