Our Song of the Day is from FRUK favourites Sproatly Smith. The Farmers Have Gone East opens to a radio archive report about the loss of land to development as farm land slowly disappears under concrete. There seems no let up in this ongoing development of green land today and things seem set to get worse so this song has incredible relevance to today and our future. The closing field recording is a reminder of why we should hang on to what we land we can.
