Glen Hansard is all set to release his new four tack EP ‘Drive All Night’ via Anti Records on December 3rd. The EP includes three original tracks and a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s classic song “Drive All Night” featuring Hansard’s friends and fellow musicians Eddie Vedder, Jake Clemons and Joe Henry, listen to it below:
While the bones of the release date back to sessions for Rhythm and Repose, the recording of “Drive All Night” was largely inspired by Hansard’s relationship with Jake Clemons, nephew of Clarence Clemons aka “The Big Man,” who was a prominent member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band playing the tenor saxophone.
All profits from the digital single sales of “Drive All Night” will be donated to Little Kids Rock, the non-profit charity Clarence Clemons donated his energy towards. Little Kids Rock provides music education classes to K-12 students in public schools that have been stripped of their music programs. Learn more at www.littlekidsrock.org
