For those of you that miss breaking a few dance floors during the summer folk festival season there’s an opportunity to get warmed up for winter tomorrow with the Ceilidh Soundclash, the second installment of the Cut A Shine Monthly Dances at Chats Palace, London (42-44 Brooksby’s Walk, E9 6DF).
The lineup is a great one as they draft in from the mighty West (good ole’ Bristol) folk boy-band-esque Fitty Gomash to rip a scrumpy drinking shaped hole in your trendy little Hackney Lifestyle:
and from The North: no nonsense, straight up, hard as nails Monster Ceilidh Band whose new album ‘Charge’ is coming January 2014 which will be on our Brit-folk channel soon. They are sure to show how things are done Oop North and shake your liberal Urban Values to the core. By Eck.
Following another raucous summer festival season Cut A Shine put down their roots in their native East London and host a monthly residency over the autumn and winter months. Situated in the gorgeous and spacious Chats Palace in Homerton, every evening will feature a barn dance set from Cut A Shine followed by a performance from another choice dance band and DJs into the wee hours. Fine Ales and Fine Partner Dancing at Chats Palace every month. Now in their 9th year, Cut A Shine started by putting on their own venue dance parties across London featuring Ceilidh Dances, Djs and bands and it seems that the nations appetite for Ceilidh has only grown over all these years! Keep it Hoedown.
