Daniel Bachman’s ‘Jesus I’m a Sinner’ is his latest psychedelic appalachia offering to be released via the Tompkins Square Label. Daniel who previously went under the monika of Sacred harp has been highly praised as one of the great living fingerstyle artists (Fretboard Journal) and considering this is just his 4th LP that is quite some praise for the twenty-three-year-old whose steel string guitar playing is gathering a growing number of fans in the UK following his earlier Summer tour here.
Jesus I’m A Sinner was recorded in Rappahannock County Virginia at Forrest Marquisee’s studio inside his father’s woodshop in May of 2013 after spending 8 months on the road. Here’s a small taster of ‘Honeysuckle Reel’ a springtime tune, for that first day when the heat and humidity sets in and the smell of the honeysuckle bloom creeps in your open windows driving.
