Our Song of the Day is from Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist and composer Gabriel Birnbaum whose latest project WILDER MAKER is our focus. Slow Life is taken from the forthcoming Year Of Endless Light a record of personal and global turmoil, but it is not a downward looking work. The very act of making a beautiful, partly-sunny pop record about these struggles is the act of defying them. This is the lovingly obsessive work of a musician who speaks a language we’ve never heard but instantly seem to know. It’s the sound of a genuine outsider coming in.
We’ll be featuring the album in our playlist so listen out for it as it incorporates an incredible breadth of vision that defies musical genres.
