Our Song of the Day is from Vespers, a North London acoustic trio we introduced back in May this year. With comparisons to Tunng, Civil Wars, and the psychedelic folk movement, Vespers are a quiet leap into the world of acoustic beauty. Intricate guitars and rich double bass underpin beautiful, unusual 3 part harmonies, creating an atmospheric, dark and peaceful sound. With recent successes at The Green Note and Woodburner in London, Vespers continue to grow and develop.

The Veteran takes its name from a short story by the American writer Stephen Crane, and is a plea to a close friend to move on from a broken relationship:
