London based 7-piece folk band Patch and the Giant dropped in for a LeeFest Garden Session last week to perform The Sleeping Boat…although smaller in numbers (three for this session) they still manage to create that bigger sound they have become so recognised for…Angie Rance’s multiple playing on trumpet and accordion still fascinates and their sound is tucked somewhere between the music of Balkan enthusiasts Beirut and the rustic elegance of modern DIY folk.
